Attempt at a Dream – Follow-up

It’s been a while since I applied for this fancy Writer’s Development Program thing at The Motley Fool. You can read the writing sample I submitted here. It has been so long, in fact, that I kind of figured that I wasn’t selected and started to make other plans for myself beginning in July. I decided to move on and try to find something better to do. I was hoping that they would eventually let me know one way or the other about the program. Today, they did.

I received a call from the lovely folks at The Motley Fool inviting me to join in their Writer’s Development Program today! I am about 95% sure that I will be taking them up on their offer. The only thing that I need to figure out is a place to live down in super cool Arlington, VA for six months beginning July 1st. If anyone happens to know of a place that won’t be terribly expensive, please let me know. I don’t need much, and since it will be a temporary move, I will probably not be moving completely down there.

However, as for my aforementioned plans for myself in July, which was going to be revealed in a post kicking off the return of “A Blog a Day for 30 Days” on or around June 1st, do not fret. The big announcement will probably still happen then. Execution is just going to be delayed by this wonderful opportunity by six months.

Until next time…
